Ready for your medical adventure in East Africa? With travel4med, you can complete your nursing internship, clinical placement, practical year or practical phase at Lumumba Regional Hospital in Zanzibar. 

You will gain valuable practical experience in a healthcare system that differs significantly from the European system in many areas.

You will be actively involved in everyday clinical work, accompanying doctors on rounds, examinations and – depending on your level of training – also in the operating theatre. And all this between everyday hospital life and tropical island adventures.

General information

Zanzibar is a semi-autonomous region of Tanzania off the coast of East Africa in the Indian Ocean. The island is known for its spice plantations, white sandy beaches and the historic old town of Stone Town (UNESCO World Heritage Site).
